What pedal should I buy for my first pedal? I play music ranging from RATM to A7X, and I don't really have much of a budget.

Doesn't mean you can't try them out there, then buy the pedal from somewhere else.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

That's why you try them out. Or save your money and buy a nice amp.

a new amp will improve your tone a lot more than getting pedals, because pedals won't make a bad amp sound good. if you're not satisfied with how your amp sounds without pedals, then you need a new amp.
Rig Winter 2017:

Fender Jazzmaster/Yamaha SG1000
Boss TU-3, DS-2, CS-3, EHX small stone, Danelectro delay
Laney VC30-112 with G12H30 speaker, or Session Rockette 30 for smaller gigs
Elixir Nanoweb 11-49 strings, Dunlop Jazz III XL picks
Shure SM57 mic in front of the amp
