I have schizophrenia, I talk to myself,
People startin' to doubt my mental health,
Maybe someday I'll get the help I need,
But till then don't be blamin' mah weed.

No you don't. Nobody likes rain. They just tell themselves that because they live in a place with ****ty weather. I know this, I live in north England.

Pessimists are always pleasantly surprised.
Optimists are always bitterly disappointed.

I'm of the former variety.

I have another analogy of it.

Optimists believe that the world as it is now, is as every bit as good as it could have been.

Pessimists fear this is this is indeed the case.

I tend to worry a lot, but with good reason.

"Better safe than sorry" and "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst"

I don't really think that something bad WILL ALWAYS happen, but I always consider the possibility of something going wrong. So would that still be pessimistic?
#25
Optimism is stupid and you get shot down and hurt more if you actually think good about something

pessimistic.
**** happens to me all the time.
like this.
few weeks ago my school counselor told someone else what i confided in her despite her promising not to. i told her something about someone's power abuse. now she betrayed me by doing the same thing which troubled me.
i want to kill everyone.
everyone should die.

but not yet.

people would rather shoot someone down or correct them for spelling errors or having an opinion, rather than encourage and understand.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

"I'm so tempted to sig that, Phill" - Sig it then

Unless otherwise stated, assume everything I say is in my opinion.

it's better to be a pessimist.

that way, if the good result happens, you will be even more happy than if you were an optimist (in which case you would just be content) and if the bad result happens then you won't be dissapointed.

I'm pretty optimistic, but if we're talking about the glass half full/half empty thing literally, then I usually see my beverages as half empty.

I wholeheartedly disagree.
If you're pessimist, you won't be aiming for the best result out of a situation, so therefore you DEFINITELY won't achieve it because you're not trying, as you believe it to be impossible to do, so what's the point?
