Use torrents to download? Like illegal file sharing? Live in the UK?

Read This.

Finally the music industry is catching up to the idea of torrents!

Edit: tl:dr

ISPs offer a broadband package that lets you fileshare legally at a higher priced subscription than normal broadband.

You put it better than I did.

ISPs want to charge extra for legal access to P2P software, I think.

They're going to actually sell music through torrents I think.

Here in Canada we have hidden taxes on CDs, iPods, etc. that's used to pay musicians that lost money because of P2P.

EDIT: Not many people know about it, the only reason I do is because I once did an essay on copyright law and I was looking through the Canada Copyright Act and stumbled upon by accident.

that kinda sucks, but people will find some way around it.

Great, but my parents pay for the broadband, so I can't change the arrangement. And I'd imagine that's gonna be the same for a lot of torrenters. As soon as I move out, I'll get this, though.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

A physical copy is much more rewarding to have though.

I agree, but torrents are good for testing music in case you're not sure about it. Since CDs and vinyls are so expensive, it's nice to have assurance that you're buying something you'll enjoy.

my car doesnt have a cd player, it has a cassette iPod adapter...so, I really don't care if I have the CD.

if for some reason i wanted to show off my music collection i can just hand someone my iPod and they can scroll through it lol
