im not sure if thats the name, but im sure you know what i mean.

my guitar is a cheap strat copy, and to make it more personal, i plan i painting a little design, maybe a few lyrics, in white, onto the backplate, which is black.

could i do this with just normal paints, without any preparation of it, for i assume that it is just black plastic yes?

i have all the equiptment and materials available to me.

tl;dr
how to paint backplate?
is it possible to use stencil:spray paint?

You can use a stencil and spray paint. You don't have to use paint specifically designed for plastic, either. After you paint it, clear coat it. Look in the stickies for more info. That's why they're stickied. And don't hesitate to use the Search bar.
