okay, so recently i noticed that when my boss super overdrive isnt on, a little bit of the overdrive signal leaks through, very quietly behind my clean sound.

and, i do know that it's the pedal and not the amp or anything.

Does anyone know what's wrong with it and how to fix it.

Thanks

well i've had it for several months, and never noticed it before.
plus, not having tryue bypass just affects tone, so the effect wouldn't show through...right?

the pedal has an electronic bypass which is controlled by two JFETS,one takes the signal after the tone control, but doesnt turn off right..i.e doesnt fully block the affected signal so it leaks through. Have you tried a new battery? If that doesnt work could you post some board pics and we can help you find what component needs changing
dont worry its not hard to fix!

Entrant: i was just looking through you thread on the cheapscreamer and noticed people talking about a leaky buffer in their sd-1.

and i'm going to take the pictures right now, and i'll be sure to photograph everything.

EDIT: Ok. change of plans. can't find my camera. any more input anybody has would be greatly appreciated.

Buffers have always interested me, so I should be able to help you fix it! I have heard about this problem before and always wondered what caused it!

OK. still can't find my camera, but i noticed one thing and it's pretty wierd.

so i put my berhinger wah pedal back in my chain before my sd 1, and the problem doesn't happen anymore. also, now I'm using a different cable to go from my sd1 to my chorus pedal.

Does anyone know why this could be happening.
