I'm trying to find a new good tubed head to use for around 500 - 600 bucks

Right now i use a Jcm900 and I just can't stand it anymore, i also have a laney from the 80s but its been put on the backburner for awhile. So whats a good head for around that amount of money that doesnt include the valveking, triple x, or supreme.

and the type of music is similar to norma jean, the chariot, poison the well

B-52 AT-100 and a noise gate. And a Bad Monkey/TS-9 if you need it, but I can nail Norma Jean tones without any overdrive pedals.

Amazign head. Practically as good as a $1500 Peavey 6505 or xxx

Electric - you plug it into a power outlet in the wall and the music comes from little speakers in the guitar.

Depending on how loud you need to get.
I'd say go with the blackheart handsome devil.
15 W class A or 30 class A/B.
It'll drive a 2x12 or 2x12 as loud as you need it to go.
You can crank it high.
And a turbo tubescreamer for added flexibility and gain.
...
Please do not insinuate anything sexual from that.

Bugera 333XL
the others they make are strictly metal
while the 333XL can do metal and evrything else exceptionally well.
also a B-52 AT would be excellent.
dont get another marshall cause if you didnt like the 900 chances are your not ganna like the 2000 much.
also take a look at valvekings but your ganna be very disapointed.

Not sure which laney, but have you thought about getting it freshened up? I've only heard 2 of them, but both were pretty nice.

Word.

The bugera's are pretty horrible IMO...atleast the 6262. The Peavey 6505 IS better. Bugeras have somewhat a badly defined low end...its hollow as hell.

For Norma Jean/ The Chariot and that type stuff, the Bugera 333 or 6260 will do fine. I prefer the 6260 as it is simpler.

And if its one of the new JCM900s I could see not liking it

What do you expect? He plays a 5150 III. You'd probably say the same thing if you had one...
