and thats "crazy train" in case you're wondering

but what is the technique called when you alternate playing the chords and open string ?

and how would i go about performing that ?

1|-17p14----17p14----17p14-19p15----19p15----19p15-|
2|-------15-------15-------------17-------17--------------------|
3|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
4|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
5|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
6|-------------------------------------------------------------------|

how would i go from a pull off from the 17th to the 14 fret and hit the 15 the fret one string below ?

and does this technique have a name as well ?

I`m guessing you play a 2 note chord like this

E------7p6
B------5

but the way they tabbed is like

E--------7p6
B-----------5

I think that how you do it, not to sure.

That seems strange, I don't think thats tabbed correctly. But I guess that just you hold the 15th down in advance

i am sure its 17, 14 on E and then 15 on the B.
just pick 17 up and 15 down. that's all.

Yeah, It's often quite hard to learn even the simplest of solos exactly as they are played. Its good to put your own spin on it, even Van Halen said he did this when he was learning to play.

Its supposed to be like this:

1|-17p14----17p14----17p14-19p15----19p15----19p15-|
2|----------15----------15-------------------17----------17-----|
3|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
4|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
5|-------------------------------------------------------------------|
6|-------------------------------------------------------------------|

I have a question, do you know what alternate picking is? Cause I have the feeling you only do downpicking.
