Tthere's a recording you guys have got to hear, funniest thing i've ever heard.

Go on the itunes store and search for

'Tribute to duke ellington'

Then go to Barbara Hendricks/Monty Alexander.

Now, Monty is a brilliant jazz pianist... but he's teamed up with this classical singer and it's pure comedy gold. Check out 'it don't mean a thing' to see how a classical head approaches swing

I don't know where else you can find it except on itunes, so sorry if this is useless to some of you

EDIT: Listen to take the A train! Good god this is so awful!

I saw it, you guys are all just n00bs

It was pretty awful The singing totally ruined it.
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

I downloaded the whole album but haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. Will listen now..

EDIT: Okay yes that is horrible, the stupid posh pronunciation and how she always runs out of beats by the end of the bar and has to rush the last few words.. Pretty sweet piano playing though.

I believe the album's unavailable in America. I tried to search for it on Google, and though I did find the album on several different websites none gave presented the opportunity to listen to or sample any of the songs.

The piano playing is great, I wouldn't ever doubt Monty. But her singing is just so funny
