As usual, JUDAS PRIEST has made a new double album and proved they are one of the best metal bands of all time.

Sounds like KK and Glenn have once again defined heavy metal guitar.

Anyone know if there is any truth to the Gibson Signiture models for KK and Glenn?

i think so, ive only ever seen priest use hamers

I've seen them with Gibsons, too. But they did have Hamers most of the time.

In fact, looking at magazine and album cover photos, I've seen Gibsons, Fenders, Hamers, ESP and some custom made stuff.

EDIT: plenty of info here

Hamer hasn't made the Priest guitars in 22 years or so, and IIRC the head of Hamer saying, they will not make those again. Those Gibson JP sigs were a joke. You can't have a true JP sig without the Kahlers, correct pickup configs (two EMGs of Glenn's, one DiMarzio or EMG on KK's) and the SG is a bit of a stretch, as GT has not used his SG's in a long time, like his Strats (same goes for KK on that one).

In rough order of apperance:
EARLY ERA (Rocka Rolla Up Until British Steel)
Gibson SG (Glenn)
Black 70's Strat w/ 2 DiMarzio Super Ds and chrome pickguard (Glenn)
Stock Gibson Flying Vs (KK)

British Steel Era (British Steel until Turbo)
Gibson Flying V modified with DiMarzio pickups (KK)
Black 70's Strat as above (Glenn)
Stock Tobacco Burst 70's Strat (KK)
Jackson San Dimas King V (Possibly Shorthorn, I need to check the spec sheet) (KK)

Later Era (Turbo to roughly the Ripper Era)
Hamer GT Phantom w/ Kahler Tremolo and 2 EMG pickups (Glenn)
Hamer KK Vector V w/ single DiMarzio Pickup and Tremolo (KK)
Hamer Shorthorn V (red, used in the Live CD/VHS/DVD) (KK)

Modern Era (Ripper era to today):
Various custom ESP Vs (KK & Glenn)
Hamer Phantom GT as above (Glenn)
Custom Built V (Glenn)
Hamer Vector KK as above (KK)

The SGs were pretty much abandoned after British Steel, and I can not recall seeing anything post Point of Entry with them playing an SG, besides perhaps the occasional promo shot. I have also not seen KK Downing use his Hamer Vector lately, so that could well be retired also.

makes me feel like less of a fanboy when other people know all that **** as well

but yeah, no way in hell would gibson be bringing out priest sig guitars (at least i hope not anyway)

i wouldnt mind seeing a consumer version of KK's red ESP custom though...
