If you could erase one musician from history, be it 60 years ago or 6 months ago, who would it be and why?

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

He said musician, that doesn't include drummers lol!

So you guys would rather listen to fallout boy than Nirvana?

Cobain wrote some awesome music, he wasn't a musical genius, but he was still a great artist

hopefully I've started another Nirvana flame war... *pops some popcorn

So we had a music battle, copying what each other did and upping the ante and whatnot. After awhile of going nowhere, I said to the pianist "let's see you do this, asshole" played a single note... and bent it up a step. And left.

Well apparently they think Cobain damaged music more than Pete Wentz

I don't think bands like Fall Out Boy would be around today if it weren't for Nirvana. Green Day might not have sold out, either, and we might've been saved from Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit, too.

Without him, Fall Out Boy-ish music would still be around.

No, it was actually artistic differences and power struggles within the Beatles. I really think John Lennon would appreciate how everyone talks about the horrors of the woman he loves.

Now to the topic at hand: Jimi Hendrix.

Charles Manson. And for those of you that are unaware, yes he was a musician. I believe he released 2 albums, one for sure.

i wouldn't get rid of anyone because they are the reason we play the way we do today and without them you all wouldn't be doing the things that you are today
these are people who has created a musical playing field and have brought forth new styles and melodic structures of playing music you should honor them instead of wishing they never existed

I'm shocked nobody's said Pete Wentz yet. I'm saying it. PETE WENTZ. Even though I love Fall Out Boy. They'd be so much better off without him.

I love how all of you are erasing the influencial members of today's rock and metal.

Me, I'd erase the Sugarhill Gang. They started the whole 'fake boyband pop group who don't even know eachother and don't write their own lyrics' thing that ruined so much of modern music.
