ok since VH1 has been recapping the millenium, i thought that we should beat them to the top songs of the millenium, and since the countdown will mostly consist of rap/hip hop songs they won't even so rocks song a chance to be in it. Anyways i thought the good people of UG should make one and give those bands a chance.

So here are the Rules:
1. Songs have to be from 2000-current day
2. you can only vote for 5 songs with one entry
3. 10 entries per person max
4. By rock i mean any genre of rock, so like metal, alternative, ect., but please not rap, hip-hop songs

So to get your voice heard either post your selections in this thread, or e-mail (preferred) at patdfan112@aim.com. This will go throught July 25, 2008, all entries entered past then will be void. I will try to get the results up as fast as i can.
Now go on UGer's and vote!

Knights of cydonia - Muse
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - JET
Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria
She F*cking Hates Me - Puddle Of Mudd
Beverly Hills - Weezer

*I'd like to point out the serious inaccuracy of this list on account that UG is FILLED with metal heads who doin't listen to the mainstream stuff. Don't get me wrong I hate most mainstream music too, but a real list would consist of a little bit of everything, 100% mainstream, and only 2% of something UG would be happy with.

Woman-Wolfmother and Icy Thump- White Stripes. I'd say those two songs define the hard rock scene of the new millennium.

No! I'm saying a realistic list would consist of mainstream stuff (green day, fall out boy, various rappers, etc) I don't like mainstream stuff, however. Ya get what i'm saying!?

You say their list is going to be mostly one genre and bitch about it, and then make your own list forbidding any genre but one. You're just as, if not even more closed minded than them. Fuck you and your list.
I simply cannot take this god-awful place anymore. Goodbye to all the good people here. The rest can fuck off.
