Ok, i'm not the least bit interested in these. But my cousin wants one and I was just thinking today and I came up with this question "What's the difference between the Blue and the Black ones?" personally I think the black one sounded better, but I played on it when I was like 13 years old and didn't have much of an ear for tone.

Now I just think the blue ones sound like pure ****. Any opinions on these amps, or an answer to my question.

Also any advice to my cousin?

EDIT: he's looking at the blue with the gold cosmetics

They're alright. Not anything special.
But, Robert Randolph seemed to like them a few years back.

I knew he had some kind of relationship with Crate, but I don't know what model he used.

What about the blue and black ones, is there any difference between the two?

Really not too sure.
But, the blue voodoo I tried was shrill and uninspiring.
It crushes low end SS amps, but it pales to comparable tube amps.

I think the BV series just has spotty quality.

I played 3 different ones in my life. One sounded amazing, one like ****e, and the other like how darkarbiter said.

*shrugs*

They're worth checking out IMO, but...... watch out.

How do you say "I'm okay" to an answering machine?

I saw in an interview that the guitarist from black metal band 1349 uses them. Not a big fan of their tone though...
