I just found out about a contest to make a new theme song for Hockey Night in Canada. My submission will be of me playing a keyboard (several parts layered, of course) with a drum track because I don't want to pay for a recording studio and a keyboard's the only thing I can plug straight into my computer and get a good sound. My keyboard has built in drum tracks for jamming and I want to use them in the recording, I didn't find anything in the rules about it so I'm hoping someone here knows if that's allowed?

i would contact the company who makes your keybaord and check with them. cuz if you dont, and you win this contest, you may slapped in the ass with crazy copyright violations

something as generic as the ones found on a keyboard shouldnt be copywritten, especially since you can make the argument that you played it yourself using the tones in the keyboard, so you're fine
