Hey guys I recently started playing some covers of songs with my friends and I need help with how the settings should be.

For example, we are playing Master of Puppets and im wondering if like the lead guitar should have most of the chunk and distortion while the other guitar just adds onto the sound? Maybe 2 guitars with massive amounts of distortion? (lol)

EQ,like should the lead guitar have much more mids than rhythm and should one guitar have most of the distortion. I'm Talking about Metallica sounds specifically though (yea were noobs).

Sorry I couldent explain very well but please help if you can
Too much equipment to write down...

Lead guitar should have more Treble and rhythm should have more bass and mids (just a tad)

Lead guitar should have distortion but enough to not sound like ****.

There's no "right" or "wrong" way to do tones for 2 distorted guitars, except that they should sound a little different. For Metallica-esque tones, the lead guitar should have quite a bit more treble, as Kirk had a very treble heavy tone, and James had that low end crunch.
