when i get new pickups am i gonna have to adjust anything or something like that? or can i just take em out of the box and solder em in?

You'll probably have to take the strings off, so you might want to replace them while you're at it. Then when the pickups are in, you'll need to adjust their height when the strings are back to pitch.

thats all? i heard somebody talking about adjusting the "polarity" or something on brand new pups...maybe they didnt know what they were talking about

take the strings off, then remove your former pickup then put in the new ones.

here's a vid.

you might want to readjust your intonation and truss rod, because taking off all the strings would change the tension of the neck.

+1 on this one.
i presume those are the screws that raise/lower the height of the pickup.
they change the height of the pickup to change the output level.
higher pickup = more output. the downside is that there will be more string pull due to magnetism.

Also, if you change from passive to active youll need to replace pots and make room for a battery

i have no idea...the screws are on the actual pickup part, not the ones that hold down the cover or raise/lower the pickup.

6 screws on top of the pickup? they're polepieces.
