i have a gibson explorer :P, with DiMarzio humbuckers, with the (idk what its called) pickup-killswitch feature, and i cant remember if it happens only when i do this, but when i turn down the main volume knob and throttle the pickup switch so it works like a killswitch, after a lil while, my neck pickup dies, going into this really, REALLY weak tone that sounds like CRAP. any suggestions other then not to keep doing it?
could be a faulty switch or the wiring is becoming loose from switching a lot.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.
Replace the switch, or at least clean the contacts...sounds like its simply wearing out though.
Actually called Mark!
