Don't know if it should be in here or GB&C, so yeah obviously if this is the wrong place tell me and I'll move it.
I've always had this problem with my ESP, it's second hand and it gives off loads more feedback than any of my other guitars. I think it's a grounding problem because it basically vanishes when I touch either the volume or tone knob on the guitar.

Any help? I'm guessing I need to solder something to something to earth it properly but that's just a wild stab in the dark.

i would assume that's the EX-50in your profile? check the wiring.

Hmm... one of the pots (the tone one) only has one wire going to it but there's a second ring...woulc that be causing it? I'll tey to get a pic but the resolution on this camera I have is shocking.
