What Vampire said, but I'm gonna guess you play some sort of metal. I'm not the best with pickups but EMG's are a good start. I'm just not sure if they make them single and spilt coil configuration, but I'm sure they do and I'm sure somone will come in to correct me.

EMG's do make a P and a J pickup, but I'm not sure whether they make a split coil for a five string.

I don't know if you'd find a P to replace that one easily, but you could certainly put a new J pickup in there. I'd be prepared to bet the money would be better put towards a new amp though.

Yeah SMB is right, White-Chocolate, what kind of amp are you running right now?

A pickup upgrade is going to be over half of the original cost of the bass. I'd put the money towards saving for new bass or a new amp, as others have suggested.

Ok well keep your pickups and save up for a better amp, that will help alot more than new pickups.
