Right, I have been looking for ages...

Is there any piece of software out there that will allow you to import a midi drum track, select whatever sounds you want the different drums to sound like, and export as a .mp3 file?

Anyone know of such a program?

EZDrummer would be the best one. However, it is quite costly and it is a VST plugin, so you'd need something like Pro Tools or Cakewalk SONAR to run it. Otherwise it's just the slow process of programming it into something like leafDrums, which I reccommend anyway due to the fact that it's free and you can use quite a variety of sounds with it.

Google "Rhythm Rascal". I got it, you can programme whole songs with a just a few samples. You can decide on sequences, and the amount of times they repeat etc.

Ive done what youre talking about using FL Studio. Its a bitch though as you have to import the track, slice just what you want, and then export it as an MP3.

Rather tedious.
