hey every one im refinishing my kramer nightswan

i decided to hand sand the body to remove the paint, and i have gotten though the paint and primer.

when i look really close i can see a coat of something that was under the paint.

am i seeing things or is this a clear lacquer coat or something similar sprayed on before the primer and paint to seal the guitar?

also i plan on repainting it with the kramer nightswan polka dot graphic.

does any one have an suggestions on how i should go about masking out perfect circles?

thanks, keabler

i was thinken about getting like inch and a half or w/e size i decide on stickers
like the ones used for garage sales, i would put 4 coats of clear over my first color, and stick the stickers on
they are made to be removable so idk does this sound like a good idea?
if not i was thinken about buying a circle cutter and getting some 3 inch masking tape and cutting them out of there
