i pretty much hate rap. i dont even consider alot of it music but if i could ever say ive heard a good rap song the only good one would be dance with the devil by immortal technique. it actually has a pretty good story and message, which from what ive heard/seen in rap is pretty hard to find.

"Nuthin' But a G Thang" - Dr Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg

"California Love" - Dre and Tupac (Tupac's verse is legendary)

"Sucker MC's" - Run DMC (Greatest beat ever)

"Stronger" - Kanye West

I honestly don't mind if people don't like rap. What I hate is when they start dismissing it as "crap" and "not music".

I'd have to say that no one yet has been able to top the classic known as Rapper's Delight.

It doesn't make us want to dance. It makes us want to kill our siblings and children (at least mainstream rap does). I don't think I should be the one to speak for us all, though.

And btw, way to stereotype an entire race of people when you don't want a race war

I disagree. 3 is a Magic Number by De La Soul alone>Rapper's Delight.

Too lazy. Instead I'll link Outkast+Parliament/Funkadelic.

Because this also surpasses Rapper's Delight.

The big one in that group is always so angry. Everytime I listen to them I can't help but make up lyrics that make fun of how mad he is all the time. I had a date get mad at me for it once..

QFT. Da Art of Storytellin' (pt.2) is one of my favorite Outkast songs (as well as Elevators, Rosa Parks, ATLiens, and B.O.B). The World is Yours by Nas is probably my favorite.

EDIT: My 2 favorites lyrically are Stan by Eminem and Changes by Tupac.

I saw the song "black mags" on video flow the other day and it caught my attention, mainly because of the man voice with the chick's lips. But that group sounded old school and they had skinny jeans
