How long does it go for?

EDIT: Now that we have that sorted, lets not make this thread completly redundant.

How about we talk about how awesome it is?

Its probably my favourite peice of orchestral music.

Too long. Man, I had to go to an orchestra for school and a piece went for an hour and twenty minutes. That was boring.

The will be heartache,

CDs were originally going to be lower capacity but Sony decided they needed to be able to fit the whole of the 9th on one CD.

I think its about 15-17 minutes. It's a pretty amazing piece of music to be fair.

Vivaldi, Beethoven, Bach, and Mozart are some well-known composers. Most things by them are pretty popular.

That doesn't make it worse/better. I've always loved it and most Tchaikovsky.

I can't find anywhere to download it... but I did find a really cool Overture, but it only lasts 4 minutes. Still awesome though.

Main theme, buddy. This ain't no rock song.

Anyway, it's 17 minutes or so, like everyone else said, but it feels a whole lot longer. I had to watch a performance of it on Sunday, at my church's choir concert. My dad's in the choir, so, yeah. The concert had a full orchestra, and there were a few instrumental pieces in the program, such as the 1812 Overture. It was the only thing that held my attention, to be honest.

Tchaikovsky is awesome. My favorite is his 6th Symphony, though.

Beethoven's 5th Sympwny would be a good choice, especially the first movement. You'll recognize it instantly.

Would you do it?

Would you do it?

Beethoven:

Fur Elise
Appasionata
Moonlight

Try Tchaikovsky's new world symphony. "Going home" is one of the themes in it.

^Are you sure you aren't talking about Dvořák's 9th "From the New World" symphony? Tchaikovsky never called any of his symphonies that as far as I know.

at some point in his composition he divided by zero now the song writes itself faster than it can be played.
