The indie rock station here in San Diego, FM 94.9, had what they call a Coup D'Etat weekend this past weekend. Listeners submit a playlist and if they are chosen, go in to the studio and DJ for an hour. Well I was chosen, and I thought you all might enjoy.

I played bands like Cold War Kids, TV On The Radio, The Hold Steady, Radiohead, et al.

Have a listen, let me know what you think!

edit: when you start listening, there's a beatles track ending. That is the end of the last song before I come on. Be patient.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.

someone else gave me the same feedback, I'm not sure I understand. When I just clicked on the link, it started playing in about 2 seconds... What happens for you? Do you have quicktime installed?

I do but I don't ever use it. The website is just slow.
