French Canada and ska is a confusing combo.

But it must be a good one cuz these guys are a third wave band that I can enjoy.

I resent that. Montreal has a bangin' ska scene.
Bastard.

I've never personally, been to the big party!
I'd just like to say I fall into the 5% of us on this site who aren't metalheads.

But I suppose that if I did I'd have a good time!

Love the Smashers; was chuffed when I found their anniversary DVD "10" in some small charity shop on the cheap.

All together now! Super Orgy Porno Party!

I love the Planet Smashers. Mighty is by far their best album in my opinion.
If anyone likes em and hasn't heard that CD, you should definately check it out.

Sorry to Bump the thread.

But hell yeah, I "acquired" all 6 of their albums. Great band. The trombone/tenor sax mix these guys got goin on is great, plus the individual musicianship with EVERYONE in the band is great, it's generic music with not-so-generic parts that keep you listening. Not to mention fun as hell lyrics and horn riffs. The Big O is my fav instrumental Ska song right now. Fav album is definately "Mighty".. close 2nd with "Unstoppable".

I highly recommend checking these guys out if you like fun 2-tone sounding ska, with hints of standard punk here and there.

Life Of The Party all the way, my favourite Smashers album by far =D But it's all good. The live DVD is good fun too
