i am after the growl from his bass on the constant motion album and specifically In the presence of enemies pt2

I love the tone and sound - on the little D minor riff during the verse

Well, he uses Mesa Boogie amps.

Don't really have anything else to add, other than "That tone is amazing "

its so rough but smooth at the same time i love it

Well, all I can say is to boost your lows and mids, and play on the bridge pickup. Also, it sounds to me like there is some clanky-ness going on there, so low action would help.

yeh i got that stuff nailed
i play hartke and no good distortion

i might try and play alot more with my GT6-B

but i know mesa are kings of bass and distortion in there

Yeah the bass tone is great on that album, better than the clanking in the past albums. In all seriousness though the Bongo does a fair deal for the sound.
