A PA system.

That would include a mixer, a power amp, and at least one speaker cab. As well as a mic and the cables needed to connect everything.

Why would I need a mixer?
How many speakers are recemended?
What wattage would I be looking for in the band to play over everyone else?
#18
My bands practice one is 300 watts, a phonic powerpod or something we payed $400. It's junk, barely loud enough for practice.. Besides the point, don't buy one, your venue will have them.
