Simple alternate picking chromatic excercises. First do single string, then stretch arms and hands, then repeat for all strings. I also do 4nps chromatics up and down the neck. All alternate picking with stretching every now and then

Then I move on to the major scale. I practice 3nps, all legato, in every box shape. Then I repeat using alternate picking. Remember, if you are trying this, it isn't about going fast. It's about loosening up your wrist so you won't have any tension during your practice session.

What's the big deal with Gibsons, anyway?
I've heard loads of Gibsons being played before
and they don't sound any more special than
any other guitar.

I will take that into account.

Generally I do a lot of chromatic- and scale-based workouts to simply loosen up.
