Fast becoming one of my my favourite bands, these power metallers from Switzerland have yet to make a bad album.

Mixing a slightly slowed down, thrashy German power metal (e.g. Blind Guardian) inspired sound with folk melodies, they're not only a great band, but have a unique sound compared to the vast majority of bands out there today.

They call this style "Helvetic folk powermetal".

New album is out at the end of the month.

I prefer the earlier stuff, but the myspace just has new songs. Which are still pretty good. Better than good, actually.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

very nice melodies
when you mentioned BG i was kind of hoping for some Hansi-esque vox, but these vox are quite fitting to the music. i'd also like to see some female vox, as i think it would make a great contrast, but this is good stuff

Wow. I actually really like this a lot. and yes a female vocalist would make an interesting contrast... however it'd have to be used gracefully.

They have female backing vocals from the keyboardist.

I suggest getting the first two album. Maybe starting with the second; Kurt of Koppigen.

This stuff's pretty good. I like the idea of Folk/power metal.

I don't really like the vocals, though...

I've been looking for a band like this ever since Elvenking turned to garbage, great find. Will definitely check out some of their albums.

Yeah, I noticed that when I listened to the songs from 2005.

I'll again suggest the first two albums to both of you.

I have Excelsis on my playlist for this Metal Radio thing too.
