Ok hello. Ive got a little trouble. My guitar (ec-1000) has been playing fine until a while ago. You know when you put your amp on the distortion channel then play and turn down your volume knob on your gutiar to like very close to off. You get this umm i duno thin cleaner but still kinda distorted tone. its like that but almost no sound. Im sorry thats the best description i could give of it. I checked my cables with other gutiars there fine, my amp is fine. I think its something with my guitar.
i replaced the battery for my emgs last week so i dont think its that, Could it be somethings lose in my output jack? This this is brand new i bought it in feburary and its been fine till a couple weeks ago.
i can only get a little sound when i play on the disortion channel, if i play and roll my tone off. the faint sound goes away. when i play on clean theres not sound that comes out no matter how loud i play.
im just worried hoping its nothign to serious.
thanks for all your help.

a solder may have came loose in your output jack. take off the backplate or whatever you have to to check it. if it's that all you have to do is solder it

it could be your switch. thats what happend to my explorer. whenever i would switch to the bridge pickup, all you would hear would be strings moving. it actually sounded just like when you play your electric with no amp. The neck does that to but not all the time. the bridge will sometimes with if you continiously switch it back and forth. that could be it my friend..... that reminds me that i still have to get that fixed and i dont know how to do that. if anyone knows how to, let me know.

That happened to me before, I think it is the wiring of the pickups have gone.

No, only the switch. And that would be easy to fix anyways with a bit of solder and whoohah.
