Why would you want a BC rich, especially after having one you've already disliked?

I'd look into other makes if I were you, I'm not saying dont get one if that's you're favourite make or whatever, but I really reccomment looking at other stuff.

I hate to say it, but BC Rich's suck.
#3
Gibson, Fender, PRS, Ibanez, Schecter, Jackson, Epiphone, etc.

what I'm saying here is basically anything but a BC Rich.
While they do have some good high end models, anything below $1000 is pretty ****ty IMO
Now officially has too much gear to list

PM me if you want to know about my recording setup
#4
if you dont like them can you reccomend a decent cheap guitar that i can use to jam with my neighbour who drums as i dont want him breaking my other guitar.
#5
whats your price range,
most people here will tell you not to get a b c rich, i would warn you that only mid/high price range b c rich's are worth getting.
the cheaper ones tend to be rubbish.

because b c rich guitars are designed for a niche, specialist market, mainly metal head guitarists, they knnow they will sell and so don't put that much effort into the construction quality of lower end models.

but i think there are some great b c rich guitars about

out of the ones you have listed i'd say the NT or the IT warlock.
i think the hybrid bolt on - set neck on the IT series is quite clever

this looks a wicked guitar
i wish they were made lefty

its not that i hate mine i just feel i might prefer another type of bc rich. the one i have i only bought cos they stopped making the one i wanted. but i dont want a really expensive one cos my neighbour will ask to play it (he doesnt take no for an answer) and **** it up.

When talking about low budget guitars, there are far better ones than bcr's. What exactly is your budget and what styles does the guitar have to cover? What amp do you use?
#9
Yeah the Low-end BC-Riches are defo nothing special, I was going to buy the Warlock, but I tried out the Dean ML and loved it, 100% better!

I'd rather recommend you an intermediate instrument than a new beginner axe, but that's tough in that price range. I recommend saving up another 55 bucks and trying this one:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_rg321mhwk.htm

Wonderful guitar for rock and metal. It's not made for funk, but will do blues and jazz nicely, so you won't find much to complain about the versatility. It's solid too, so your neighbour won't brake it that easily.
If you don't want to save up, see if you can get a used one.

thanks dude. i live in the uk so the price is in pounds but i reckon it might be well priced over here but ive heard of other ibanez guitars that are intermidiate and pretty cheap
#15
Yeah, you can get some nice ones within the 250 pound range. Stay away from guitars with the Edge 3 tremolo though, those are not reliable. If you want a trem, check out the Ibanez SA range.

what?

stay away from B.C Rich in that price range, i've played a few in that price range and they felt really cheap and poor built, doesn't help that it didn't sound good either.

Ibanez make good hard rock/metal guitars, you could check them out.
Ibanez RG7321
Dean Evo Special 7
Agile AL-2000
ESP LTD VB-300
Peavey Vypyr 30
General of the 7 String/ERG Legion

The only BC Rich I would ever consider getting is an Assassin, for not looking too br00tal and ridiculously "metal"

i would avoid spending less than 200quid on a bc rich really.
there are better options...
#24
Get a guitar, as opposed to a toy. So, not a BC unless you're willing to spend a lot.
Gear:
Schecter C-1 Hellraiser
Ibanez GRG170DX
Peavey Vypyr 75
Fender Princeton 650 DSP w/ Celestion 80w speaker

Hey what do you guys think of the ASM PRO they have out, they put a thinner neck on it, 19 and 21 mm, and it comes with an original floyd and emg's. im an ibanez guy but the asm pro looks sweet. i never bought a bc rich before, all my guitars are higher end ibanez.
#26
have any of you ppl who say bc rich sucks ever actually played one? play a kkw, virgo, revenge or warbeast.
#27
I must say ive never really played any BC riches but on ebay sometime they have there Ironbird or w/e its called on there. And that thing looks pretty sweet
#28
wat about the warlock NT?? you put the IT series but NT is alot better and costs more.

Substantially better. Look at the specs on the website for the NJ Deluxe Warlock.
