I was thinking of putting a pickguard on my epiphone sg. it didn't come with one, and there was just one thing i was worried about.

when you put on the pickguard, do you have to drive screws into the guitar, or does it just sit on there? my strat copy doesn't have screws for the pickguard, but i've seen pics of SGs with screws in them.

EDIT: also, can anyone tell me how much i could expect to spend on a pickguard?

20-30 bucks..but you will have to buy an epiphone one because gibson pickguards are different. at least thats what I read on a pickguard ebay sale.

i would think that since it's the same body shape that they would be the same.

Note: This will not fit Epi SGs: the pickup spacing is different, no work arounds other than routing new pickup holes.

Quote by info from listing
-Distance from top/center of pickguard nearest to the fingerboard to the top of the neck pickup route: 13/16"
-Space between pickups: 2 1/8"
-Distance from top/center of pickguard nearest to the fingerboard to the end of the pickguard: 7 3/16"
