I don't usually ask for help or advice, BUT the band I'm in has played a few shows and this next one should be big.
SO give me a list of covers we should do ranging from the 70's - now that can be easily done by a trio.
If you don't know what a trio is (you're an idiot and you deserve to die), it's guitar, bass, and drums. THAT'S IT.
We play rock, alternative, and "indie-rock" (I hate that term). Anything is fine though. Throw it out there!

Do it. Now.

(Thanks.)

Rat Salad-Black Sabbath?

It doesn't really take a rocket surgeon to decipher the crpytic riddle that is "trio".

Specifying if you have vocals would make things tons easier.

Also, please specify how proficient your band is musically.

Rock and Roll by zeppelin

Black Dog by zeppelin

Kashmir by zeppelin

Time by Floyd

Breath by Floyd

Doesn't take a rocket scientist? We're on UG. Think about it.
Proficient? What? List covers!

definately some pavement, stone roses, maybe some radiohead. if its acoustic try some neutral milk hotel. some bloc party, hives, white stripes, libertines could be good too if youre into more modern "indie-rock".

also a trio could be 2 singers and a french horn player, a trio just means a group of three things.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm... I'm liking that.

Blink 182. You're killin' me, Smalls.

I'm thinking we'll do an instrumental of Black Dog. You wanna find a singer that can pull that off? Didn't think so.

Some chili peppers... eh...

Well, thanks for all your ideas.

I see. I see. No.

Cream, I bet we could do Sunshine, then again it sounds too similar to everything else. I guess what I was looking for was a really good song from the 70's, one from the 80's, and one from the 90's that would please everybody, BUT at the same time it didn't sound similar to one another. Ya see?
