i was messing around with chord progressions, and i found one i liked, so im trying to figure out what key its in, so i have a question,

if i use the chords Dm, Am, Em, and Fm, what key would that be in?

i thought it would be C, (or Cm, if that exists) because D, A, E, and F, all fall under the key of C, but im not to sure of that conclusion,

so help me out UG, does anyone know what key these chords are in? or how i can figure it out?

^yeah i thought about going to MT, but, theres a bigger risk of getting flamed for a "stupid question" there, so i decided to post here, where n00b questions are more expected

Your key would be C major IF your Fm was F major.

I would suggest changing the Fm for F Major.
This will make the F resolve to the Dm alot better.

You have a ii -> vi -> iii -> IV progression.

F is indeed minor, giving you an Ab.
