I own a Epiphone Les Paul and a Maverick F-1 as guitars I play mostly. Although I have a seperate fund dedicated to both a new Tube Head amplifier (looking to be a Framus Dragon), and a new guitar (either a Schecter C-7 Blackjack ATX, or a Fender American Standard Strat), I still feel like I need a tone boost for now until I can find enough money to buy the next best thing for my tone.

Now the question is, what pickups will be best to replace the pickups already in either of those guitars. Price is not really an issue. My style of music is fairly grungy - Kings of Leon, The Doors, Interpol, The Strokes, Deftones, Neil Young, Placebo, The Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins, etc.
But I also play a lot of metal, from Nu-metal to thrash to hardcore. Meshuggah, Korn, Machine Head, Tool, System of a Down, Fear Factory.
But mainly the more grungy influenced stuff for my band.
My amp is currently a VOX AD30VT on a classic rock 80's settinng (its about the only tone I really like on it).

Can anyone give any reconmendations?

well i put a seymore duncan JB in the bridge of my ltd viper-400 and it sounds amazing, i have a 59 in the bridge though and it could be better. but i too have a very grunge feel to my band and that pickup made me verrry happy =D

I think I'm out of it. I read the title as ""Who else loves pornography?"
