Well if your doing western bands, then John Mcglaughin has a CD called Miles From India, which is an indian tribute to miles davis. Also the Mars Volta's song "Soothesayer" is pretty eastern influenced.

Check out Orphaned Land. They're metal, but they have tons of Middle Eastern bits. Really good stuff.

A lot of George Harrison's solo stuff is inspired by Indian music. His last solo album, Brainwashed, is probably the best of the lot.

rofl its like one of those shread vids that are on youtube where they dub it with crap playing

Yeah lol the first time I saw it I was like this **** has gotta be dubbed but then I realised that both the guitarists are really that sloppy. The fat kunt with the sausage fingers thinks he's so good with those sloppy muted to hell sweeps and his "four finger diminished thingy" lol what a br00tal n00b!

hope zeppelin gets back together and writes new music. I could see them doing easthern music because that is something they always wanted to do but never got around to. Check out Exit festival version of i think whole lotta love. Plant singing with another group but they do a really cool version of the song.
