Does anyone here do, or know about free running? I doubt many people even heard of it, but i want to start getting into it because it seems like a lot of fun... Basically you run around and do flips off of stuff. Id love to be able to say to myself 'i bet i can do a backflip off that or jump that wall' while in public. I have good stamina and i can do a lot of different kind of flips on a trampoline, so as long as im jumping off of something, hypothetically, i should be fine... Maybe out of the 700 some people the pit has spawned one of them is familiar with it

(some youtube vids if you still dont know what im talking about...obviously these guys are really good)

"NO! The voices tell me not to talk to you!" *Runs away on all fours*
The principle eventually caught up to him and gave him a drug test.

EDIT: when i fell on my head, i still ran away like in the videos..

free running sounds more like running around for no reason. which is stupid.

but parkour is what you're talking about.

...You're still disappointing them...

Looks cool, but dangerous.

Parkour is more about showmanship, free running is efficiently getting from A to B.

Or vice-versa. Forget which.

The guy that James Bond chases through a building site in the last (I think?) film is the guy that invented it I believe.

Hmm I am the same, Free Running (or Parkour) looks amazing.
I can do backflips on trampoline and even flairs now, I think you get to a point where you can do everything on a trampoline and then think 'hey I want to do this on the ground! '

However, its very dangerous! But I would also like to know if anyone has any advice.

There is a good site called trickstutorials.com which teaches you.....
But I think that actually getting the guts to go through with it is hard enough...
(most i can do on ground is cartwheel....)

i would have liked to do Free Running but a fear of mine is heights, so yeah, not really suitable.

Anyone that wants to do it, probably should have started gymnastics like 10 years ago, the guys that actually do it have been doing stuff like that all their lives, its like a guitar, you cant just pick it up and all of sudden be playing STH or FB, takes time, but if you want to put in the time and get into the ridiculous physical shape required the only way to learn is through doing.

Other way around.

If anyone's interested in Parkour, I'd suggest
A) looking into it
B) Watching Banlieu 13 or District B13 if you want the English version. It's on Youtube.

How about just send a ship at the speed up light directly to the sun, and the gravity will pull it towards the sun, thus speeding it over the speed of light.

Most people I know that do it, just picked up the hobby, and started learning the basics such as vaulting, landing, etc. They didn't do things such as gymnastics. Obviously, they work out a lot since they started, to keep their body in shape, and get more strength and longer jumps.

I suggest you look parkour up, it's not just 'doing flips off things' like you said.

Parkour is something I'd like to do, but it's hard to find people to do it with, and I don't think I'd be able to do it on my own (would need encouragement to push myself into doing moves, etc. and it would look a bit silly when you're learning).

Oh ya we were talking about the people who are actually insane at it, you know the whole back flipping over a spiked fence and catching a ledge.
