As the title says I'm getting a new guitar. My price range is 750ish US. Will go to 800 if I have to. I've been playing for 2 1/2 years now and I really do love it. My first and only guitar is a cheap ibanez jumpstart Gio ijs20 with INF4 in the bridge and INF3 in the neck. I want a fixed bridge with humbuckers. I don't care if I have to change the pups someday. Not interested in active pups. It has to stays in tune well, have a fast neck, and is a quality piece. Stupid or not I care about looks. I like them dark. Usually black with rosewood fret board. I play many different kinds of metal and rock. Metallica ofcourse, all that remains, bls, mega deth, dethklok, van halen, zztop etc. I'm looking to buy right now. Right now the link is pretty much all I've found that really turns me on. I think that guitar is sexy. If you own or have used it tell me what you think. Interested in all opinions. On a side note are the frets going to a lot bigger/further spaced apart than my current guitar?

Two questions...

1. Do you want a tremolo bridge?

2. What amp are you currently using?

"I want a fixed bridge with humbuckers."

Yes, reading is hard...

Sorry I missed that in the wall of text, geez...

EDIT: At least when I'm a jerk to people I contribute to the thread...

I've looked at pretty much everything out there. Been up down all the sites 10 times over. Want people to post specific guitar they think I might like. I'll start an amp thread when I have money for a new amp. I'm getting a new axe. No music stores around here either.

you'd be better getting a new amp before a new guitar imo. unless you already have a good amp of course

I got crap to do, okay? Counter-Strike isn't going to play itself.

Be aware n amp change will give you a fair bigger tone change than a new guitar. I can't blame you for wanting a new one guitar, just as long as you have plans for a new amp, so...

There's the Jackson DK2T. Hard to find online aside from eBay, but worth a look.

Also there's the ESP LTD EC400VF.

Schecters are worth a look as well. I don't know them very well, so can't provide links, but yeah...

That guitar looks awesome. Not just to look at, but I mean the specifications, too. I would like something like that. My Gibson just isn't doing it for shred. Anyway, as for fret spacing, I shouldn't worry about it. There's only two scale lengths (pretty much) in mainstream, factory-built guitars that you can buy. The difference between them is more in the string tension that the fret spacing. I mean, I've got a 25.5" and a 24.75" scale length guitar, and the actual fret spacing only differs by like a millimetre or two at the first fret, and then the difference gets smaller from there. 25.5" guitars have higher string tension, which is why Stratocasters come setup and equipped from the factory with .9s, to counteract this.

I'd say just get that guitar. In fact I may get it myself, it seems exactly what I've been looking for!
