if record a song on one computer can i e-mail it to some one else so they can listen to it?

Just to clarify something here....

The final product is what we are talking about. If you are using, say Cubase, your project file will be a .cpr file, or if you are using ProTools, your project will be a .pts file. Those files will be faily small - less than a meg each, generally. DON'T expect to be able to send those. They are essentially instruction files that tell Cubase or ProTools or whatever where the files are, where the edits are, what effects are used and what their settings are, etc. They contain no actual musical data themselves. You take your project file, though, with all the sounds in your project, and export the final product as a .wav file or as an .mp3 file. THOSE are the ones you can send.

i was planning on using audacity, if that helps i probably should have mentioned that first
