After their ****ty cover of Walk, I can't think that A7X will destroy a Maiden song.

Would have loved DT to do Powerslave instead =(

But To tame a land is still epic.

What's the big deal with Gibsons, anyway?
I've heard loads of Gibsons being played before
and they don't sound any more special than
any other guitar.

Oh this sounds class. I know one or two tracks I think will be duds though, but still worth a listen.

In Flames cover of "Eye Of The Beholder" of course by Tallica is really good (random comment).

Personally I think Madina Lake's cover will be terrible. They don't deserve to be on an album with Coheed, Metallica and Dream Theater.

They could have given Avenged Sevenfold a better song. Also Coheed doing possibly the most loved maiden song ever??? why not machine head, or someone?

I would've preferred C&C to do Run to the Hills.

Dream Theater - To Tame A Land

I couldn't care less about everything else but this...this I have to hear. I think it's the perfect song for DT to cover from Maiden.

i dissagree with the leper messiah thing, i think the only kerrang cover of theirs i dont like is Breaking the Law, but My own Summer and Leper Messiah were pretty good

always wanted to hear Trivium do a Maiden song, cant wait
Gallows is gonna be hilliarious
Somewhat surprised Bullet for My Valentine arent on the CD
big up for Machinehead taking up the big daddy of them all

I dunno, they screwed up Leper Messiah pretty badly.

Are you insane? Their version of Leper Messiah kicked ass!

Obviously not as good as the original, but still decent.

I enjoyed their cover of Breaking The Law too.

Madina Lake? Goddammit! Why don't they have Paramore do Black Label Society? +44 doing Judas Priest, Jonas Brothers doing Megadeth?

Actually, if you check out the Kerrang! website, there's some samples of some of the tracks.

Gallows...I lol'd at. His "singing" doesn't fit right with the kind of music.
A7x BLEW it totally (and i love this band) but they ****ed it up.
Coheed and Cambria sounded good.

I can't remember the others they posted samples of, but they didn't post the fightstar sample.

They posted Metallica, which sounds fantastic
Trivium- they have new vocal style, sounds fantastic
Machinehead captured the feeling of Hallowed be thy Name very well, and dont do what Maiden do now and play it really really fast

ROFL.
Although, I would LOVE to see Paramore cover BLS.
