What is it?

IMO, Strings.

Percussions, Woodwinds, Strings, Brass, and Keyboards

Poll coming.

Strings. Pianos are considered pianos, not "Keyboards"

Unless you're talking about the Synth, which is a Synth, not a Keyboard.

Just saying
Play the man, Master Ridley; we shall this day light such a candle, by God's grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.
#3
Woodwind cos all the other you can give clear instructions like press this button/fret at this time, but you can't say blow x hard
#4
Brass I'd say, but its all relative to the amount of work you put in. IE I am much better at guitar than trumpet, simply because I put more time into it.
I refuse to put anything that masturbates my ego in my sig.
#8
It's percussion for me. Me and my horrible sense of rhythm.
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools
#10
i personally find brass instruments impossible
now extra flamey
#11
I've played all those types at one point or another. I think to just pick up and play, guitar or violin might be the hardest. But to be really good at an instrument they're pretty even.
#12
Percussion is very hard and it takes alot of work, time and energy to learn and play.

The only advantage of home-schooling is that it gives you good reason to commit suicide.

Hit this once or twice, and you'll be twice as nice.

Any instrument with keys is a keyboard, so a piano, harpsichord, synth etc are all keyboards.

Ever tried playing violin? Impossible, but cello and double bass can be fun to mess around on, as can a basic drum set.

Technically, it is. It makes a sound via a hammer hitting the strings inside.

Hitting = percussion.

Greg what did you send me??

they are all hard in their own way. if you have crappy lungs, air-based instruments will definitely be harder than string/percussion. and if you have a bad sense of rhythm then percussion instruments will be the hardest for you.

Actually I believe piano's are considered string instruments.

But yeah you should have made it Synthetic instead of Keyboards.

I'd have to go with brass for myself. I tried playing a trumpet years ago and I just could not do it.

I think I've gained so many gay points reading the past 3 pages of this thread that if I gave another man a blowjob I'd actually lose some.

Seems really opinion based, but I think guitar is one of the easiest, in general I think violin or cello are the most difficult.
#30
Brass. I play it. Requires a lot of air. I've nearly passed out a couple times.

hang on,
if percussion is hard if you don't have a good sense of rhythm,
and woodwind/brass is hard if you have crap lungs,
then under what conditions is strings hard?

If you're not dextrous, then strings would be hard.

OTHER: Kazoos, man. Those are REALLY hard to learn.

But my real answer would be percussion. It's like multi-tasking.

+1 to all of that except it being the hardest.

I would probably say classical strings (Violin, Viola, Cello) as being the hardest, then Percussion.

probably brass... seems like it would be hard to memorize all the positions and to be able to play well and stuff...

My old guitar teacher played harmonica too, and he could hold notes for bloody ages, but once in a lesson whilst I was sitting there waiting for mine to start after his harmonica lesson had finished, he started showing off, then held an inhaled note, and he ended up with a harmonica full of vomit He just threw up into his harmonica. He'd done it on stage a few times too

Synths and sound designing can get really tricky to get your head around...

But i'ld say strings. It takes years to get good at strings instruments... While it doesn't take that long to say get decent at the piano n stuff...

IMHO, piano is the easiest thing in the world.
I'm at grade 10 RCM and i've only been playing piano 4 and a half years

the only reason i'm as good as i am at guitar right now is because i had a musical background when i started playing guitar.
if i didn't have my piano experience, i'd probably be one of those guitar noobs that think playing a chord will get you chicks

on topic, brass seems pretty hard, simply because you have to control how much air you breath nd ****t.
