I've noticed lately that when i've been playing chords with distortion, they sound very fizzy, and buzzy and thin..i don't know quite how to describe it but I think the fret buzz on my guitar might contribute to this

How could i make the notes of my chords blend better and sound fuller and generally better?

Are you using a cruddy digital amp? I'm not throwing out Spider III or Marshall MG hate, I'm just asking if you're using a junky amp.

oh well.

at any rate, try reducing your distortion/gain. then turn down your bass and treble, and boost your mids. these methods should work well.
