im looking for a good 1st guitar that has alot of room to grow into. i saw both of them at musicians friend and all of the specs are the same (im going to change the m100fm puckups). So if there is other info, like durability ect.,let me know. thanx for helping me decide.

My M-100FM has been holding up fine, I don't go crazy on the bridge though which is why it's still working pretty good.

After a pickup change it's a pretty decent axe.

is this going to be your first guitar? if it is you might not want to get something with a floating trem. And both of those guitars are of mediocre quality.

I bought my M-100FM when they were still making it out of agathis. (It's a 2005 model)
2008 models have Basswood bodies.
