My friend is extremely rich, but for some reason he STILL doesn't have internet (his dad think that when they get internet, hackers will steal his credit card.)

He wants to know the best possible amp for metal with no budget.

I told him Krankenstein but he said he wanted something more expensive.

He could get a Diezel or a Mesa. It all depends on what styles of metal he wants to play.

triple rectifier or 5150

he shoudnt think that only expensive amps will do, 5150 is peanuts compared to some of the amps being reccomended. Although, id say mark IV.... ultimate metal amp. Oor, wait around, see how the mark V turns out?

Or, the EVH 5150 rules.

If he doesn't like that, have him try out a Bogner Uberschall.

haha, the 5153 gas on here must be contagious, guys recommending it as the best metal amp that don't even play metal, lol. Great sounding very versatile amp for sure, but best metal amp??? Guess it's all down to preference anyway, you've got a major list for your bud to check out OP.

actually, Mako are quite reasonably priced for what you get. Milispec construction, lifetime transferable warranty, and the Dorado is $1750, it might actually be too cheap for what this rich kid is looking for, lol.

Well if he has no budget, go with a Bogner man. Those things are ****ing unreal for tone. If not a Bogner, then get a Mesa Boggie Mark IV. They are really nice, I have one.

Gibson Les Paul Standard

Suhr Pro Series S5

Yeah, if all you're going to do is play metal on it, I honestly wouldn't suggest it. It's more shred voiced if anything, though it can get metal tones, it's not for everyone because of this. A lot of people prefer a more raw tone for metal as apposed to the 5150 III's smoother gain structure which is closer to a Soldano.

Really? I tried them all again yesterday and thought that the VH4 was the weakest out of all of them. The Herbert still owns all 3, but I thought the Einstein sounded better than the VH4, maybe it was just the cab, I dunno. For $4600, I wasn't impressed

If he truly has no budget, I'd go for...

Diezel Herbert

Good point. Tell this kid to A/B/C/D/E/F/G/H/etc all of the amps we've listed, hook them up to some hand-built cabs made from incredibly rare Brazilian wood and uranium-core speakers, and play them with a 24-karat gold guitar carved by a Burmese midget in the soundproofed 5-acre-wide basement of his $500,000,000 home in the Cayman Islands.

... Y'know, seeing as how there's no budget.
