I have the same problem as presented in this thread -> http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f68/floyd-rose-tuning-problem-13599.htm

My G string goes out of tune on my OFR everytime I whammy...

- Strings are stretched

- The locks are tight

- The bridge is even

The only thing I can surmise is what the ppl in that thread were talking about lubing up something? Only I have NO IDEA WHAT!

Can someone explain (preferably with pics) how the hell I fix this problem if it indeed can be solved with lubing something....

Only the G string?

Saddle may be stripped.

Also try with everything tightened down to tune up or down the G string from its normal tuner while plucking it. This way you know if it's the lock that's messed up.

(BTW I meant to type FLOYD not FLOD) lol

Okay I did what Pott suggested and as I tune the G string up while it is locked the note goes up so yes the locking nut is slipping.

How do I fix this?

Buy a new lock.

Oh and make sure they're all pointing the correct way right If you put them sideways they won't lock as well. Check their website out and make sure you're setup correctly!

Each locking nut bits has a ridge right? Like their upside is a downwards V... the V should be parrallel to the strings. Check that.

Otherwise, getting official Floyd Rose parts is your best bet.
