It sounds like it'll be pretty tight, but I don't know if Jake Gllyenhal should play Prince Dastan. I came across this movie by looking at Toby Kebbell's wiki, and if you don't know he played in the movie Control, he's also in Sands of Time, but I think he would make a better Prince

Maybe they should get a middle eastern guy to play the prince of persia.

Considering the location of the former Persia and all that.

I'm just not to sure on the whole Walt Disney Productions thing there. In the game there is quite alot of blood. imo i think the vfact that disney's doing it may ruin it for me.

I heard that the new Prince of Persia game isn't going to be a continuation of the old ones but will be connected to the movie. It sounds interesting but game-based movies rarely end up good.

Woah, Ben Kingsley playing The Vizer. That's just awesome, but I ain't to fond of Jake playing the Prince. They should get that guy from The Mummy films, the leader of the Mijai or whatever they were called.

Also I'm glad to hear of Molina again.

Yes, but it was zombie blood, which makes it fine.

they should get the guy who played antoine(the aggressive man *****) in the first deuce bigalo to play the prince. i personally think he looks just like the prince. He also seems like he would play the part well.

edit: oded fehr be his name

Fun fact:

Zac Efron was also considered to play the role, so I think we should consider ourselves lucky.

Don't ask me how I know that.

Is that the guy from the Mummy by any chance?

Also, about Disney making the movie, they also made Pirates of the Carribean and National Treasure (which isn't bloody, but still ****ing awesome) and they're really good movies

Prince of Persia had a great storyline to work with, and Uwe Boll isn't involved, so I think the movie has a chance. Also, I think they could have done a lot worse than Jake Gyllenhaal for the lead roll.
#21
Jake Gyllenhal is a good actor. Any man that can play a gay character to the extent of Brokeback Mountain is a good actor. They should have gotten Cliff Curtis. For those of you who don't he's that guy that can play both mexicans AND middle easterners

+1 on Cliff Curtis, first person who came to mind.

They need someone that looks like prince, like Viggo Mortensen, or as mentioned earlier, Oded Fehr.

i'm not sure if the role would suit him...

I havn't seen him in a movie since Donnie Darko.

Then watch Zodiac.

I like the games, but they'll probably screw it up and turn this into The Mummy. Oh well, Jake Gyllenhaal is a good actor so there's some hope.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.
