Hi guys

I'm looking to try and get a barritone sound out of my standard electric. I know barritones are all about the strings, scale and tuning and dont have any special hardware but ust wanted to know if I could do this as I dont have the money or space for another guitar.
If so how could I do this? possibly with an octaver?

get the thickest strings you can and downtune, you could even buy 7 string guitar strings and just throw the bottom 6 on.

but that really wouldn't make any sense at all
TS, buy thicker strings and downtune. A baritone is mostly tuned in B- or A-standard, so you need som thickass strings. 13-62 or something

Yeah, this is the general idea, but since most Baritone's come standard with thick ass strings, and they're scales range from 26.5-30 you're intonation will definantly need adjusting for doing this, so make sure you set it so it works with that low of a tuning.

buy an effect box with pitching or octaver, then go 50-50 when you mix the sound. then it sounds baritone :P
