Ohh, this is getting so old now. To the point that its not cool anymore. It's going to look fake whatever you do to it. I would just buy a guitar that you totally adore, and just do it naturally. It will look more realistic, AND you would have a proper connection with it.

...Rant over

well if you use the search bar enough times your mouse and key board will wear out so if you play your guitar enough it will wear if it has a nitro cellulose finish

Use the searchbar, and don't listen to the jackasses that can't just deal with interests other than their own.

well, everyone said to do it natural, not to not do it. it always looks fake if you fake it. i have yet to see a "reliced" look like it was done natural when it was speed worn. i was looking out for the end quality of his project.

just treat it like you dont give a f**k about it and dont keep it in a case. If its not got a nitrocellulose finish forget about it.

sandpaper looks fake and like crap... if its not natural it will look forced... i dont know if the roll eyes face was sarcasm or not, so you may be agreeing with me?

Just don't.
Wait tills it happens naturaly
Trust me on that one , I've been there done it and the real things still the best.

This. Professional relicing people won't touch a guitar that doesn't have a nitro finish.

Play it everyday for the next 20 years....

Problem solved.

even less than that. keep pressure on your left palm/thumb and move around on the fret board alot when you play and dont wash your hands first. wear a metal buckle, rough jeans, play after working out and let the sweat salt wear into it... i dunno. it will wear in the right spots to fit your body and feel natural. basically everything you'd do to keep your guitar in good nice shape, do the opposite and let it turn to ****. never wipe the hardware down. dont keep it in your case, let your friends get drunk and play it. hell, dont put it on the stand and just let it be. but remember it cant be undone so your stuck with it once its worn. that way all the "relic" looks will have some sort of story behind it... kinda
