I recently bought a 2006 58' Reissue for like $2600 new, but because it has been a floor model for at least a year it has some scratches on it. The guy offered to buffer them out so I brought it back and right now I'm waiting for him to gimme a call so I can pick her up (probably a couple days).

Now, will this ruin my pretty finish? It's not the gloss finish or whatever I know some Les Pauls have, it's the more common multilayered one or whatever it's called. Caz if I can easily tell that this has been buffered then I'll call him tomorrow and say that I can live with some scratches.
buffering it will make it more shiny. but this is only on stuff that isnt guitars.
i wouldnt of let him buffer it though.
