I play punk and like to play some garage stuff like 13th floor elevators, stooges, also some metal.
Im planning on getting a multi-effects pedal. a zoom G9tt, line 6 pod XT live. witch one do you guys think is bettor. I tried the G9tt that my friend has and i liked alot, things i didnt like where the wah but the delay and mod effects where good. the stomp box stuff to it had great tone.

I havent tried the line 6 and i know it has alot more to offer but compared to the ZOOM, hos does it fare. ive heard demos of both and all of them are pointing me towards the zoom cause it sounds more tonefull. But then again the zoom dosent have all the stuff the line 6 offers. what do you guys think.

i say go with the Peavey or the f-50.
Peavey XXX combo *upgraded screen resistors, Tung-Sol's, and 6L6's*
Schecter Syn Std. * modded, scalloped, and worn*
Schecter C-1 Elite *still sexy*
Ibanez AEL 12-string

If you don't play a lot of metal, I'd say the Classic 30 is probably more voiced for what you want, but the F-50 has the extra gain when you need it, the Classic 30 would need an overdrive.

As for the Multi-FX. Unless you're planning on using the models through the amp (which won't sound very good imo) or using it to record directly into your computer. I honestly wouldn't suggest either with that amp. Buy a TC Electronics G-Major instead, should have all the effects you need and much higher quality.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

I owned a Marszhall DSL401 and it has high gain and much distortion. It is great for classic rock...metal, maybe not so much. That said, I wouldn't pay 500 for a broken DSL, you can find them working for around that...stretch your CL search to LA.

Personally, out of those three amps in their present condition...I would go with the Mesa.

The Mesa's easily the best of the three. As much as I don't like multi-FX, they'll probably sound best thru the Mesa's clean channel. But you have to decide what you're priorities are. If you're going to lean on a multi-FX pedal for your tone, you're probably better off getting the Peavey. For the same money, I like it better than the Marshall.
You Don't Need a halfstack.

You Don't Need 100W.

^yah the marshall has all the gain and all but i dont dig the tone but just wanted to confirm this.
My opinion on marshall, if your not spending 1500+ on a new marshall, then its not a marshall.
Peaveys are amazing specifically there high gain amps and these classic series.
The only amps the make i dont like are the valvekings and XXX.
I wont be playing metal all the time and i guees the Classic has enough gain for punk, ill probly get a distortion to run when its clean and a overdrive to give its onboard distortion and overdrive some more balls sound clips like these have left me brethless with this amp.

this one is awesome

ill probly have to keep below the brake up line to play punk but its frieken awesome.

People should really giving props to peavey cause i bet if they wanted to they could probly raise the price on these amps, there just frieken awesome, but they dont.

what do you guys think of B-52AT.
