Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for basic books or websites or anything that they have used to learn or as help to record/mix/or produce music. From searching around I learned about TweakHeadz.com, but something to sit down and read when I am away from the net would be helpful too.

I really know next to nothing but I find it pretty interesting and it would be pretty helpful for my band and friends.
So i need help with all this stuff (learning about gear, effective recording procedures, how to mix properly, etc. etc)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post...couldnt figure where it should go so here seemed safe
I don't really know. Try googling it first.

If you go to riffs and recordings, I think there are a couple of tutorials there, and the users there will help you with specific questions.

So you mean you're starting from scratch?
